We are in the process of setting up a joint event with USC. They Marketing Society is structured a little different from ours. After all, their student body is a little bit larger than ours. Nevertheless, we believe there should be interaction between the two schools.

We are looking to meet up with their President next Friday. In the meantime, we’d love to hear suggestions on what type of events (career outlooks, social, company visits, networking) people were hoping to get out of this…

Castle Manager Consulting Opportunity September 20, 2006

During the meeting, we talked about the unique opportunity of crafting a Marketing Plan for a startup company based in Las Vegas.

The idea is to hold a small and very exclusive competition where teams would gather up and come up with a marketing solution for the company. The winning team would take home a considerable prize while the other two would also be offered some sort of compensation for their work.

The details are far from worked out and at this point, the event is tentative, nevertheless, I’d like to know who would be interested in such project.

My apologies for messing up the date for our first meeting on the brochure handed out. It will be next Thursday on September 14th, 2006. Shoot for 5:30pm, but we’ll wait for 20-25 minutes for FEMBAs coming from other campuses.

Once again, during our first meeting we’ll be:

  • Talking about the upcoming events for this year.
  • Give you a better understanding of what our blog is all about.
  • Talk to you about a possible interest in a compensated consulting competition.
